About Haier
Haier started in 1984 in Qingdao, China, as Qingdao Refrigerator Co. It bought the appliance business of Fisher & Paykel in 2012 and acquired GE Appliances from General Electric in 2016. GE Appliances now calls itself a Haier company. Haier’s North American kitchen lineup includes refrigerators, beverage centers, ranges, microwaves and dishwashers.

Find your model and serial number
Haier’s U.S. support pages call it the rating plate. For most refrigerators the plate is on the rear of the unit, though French door models carry it on the left wall inside, next to the crispers. Wine cellars have it at the top left inside. Dishwashers have it inside the tub on the left wall by the lower rack. Electric ranges have it inside the oven on the upper left of the front frame.

How service works
We can look at your Haier appliance in your home, or in our shop for smaller items. In-shop diagnostic: $50 plus GST, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. In-home service call: $95 plus GST ($95 plus mileage plus GST outside Calgary), with parts and labour on top. You get a repair quote before any work. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty.
