Midea sells across kitchen and laundry categories in Canada. If a Midea fridge, dishwasher or microwave has stopped working, Southland can take a look. We’re independent, and repairs come with our 90-day warranty.

Midea was founded in 1968 by He Xiangjian, starting with bottle lids in Beijiao, Foshan, Guangdong, and the group is still headquartered there. Air conditioners are its core business. Midea Canada lists refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, cooking ranges, microwaves, range hoods and laundry among its categories.

Find your model and serial number
Midea’s US help answer for fridges says there are two stickers on the outside of the cabinet, one at the rear and one on the right side, or both. One shows the model number and unit details. The other has a barcode and a 22 digit serial number. Midea Canada’s support page gives no spot for other products, so check the manual for those.

How service works
We can look at your Midea appliance in your home, or in our shop for smaller items. In-shop diagnostic: $50 plus GST, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. In-home service call: $95 plus GST ($95 plus mileage plus GST outside Calgary), with parts and labour on top. You get a repair quote before any work. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty.
