About Bosch
Bosch traces back to Robert Bosch’s precision mechanics and electrical engineering workshop, opened in Stuttgart in 1886. Home appliances come through BSH Hausgeräte, a joint venture of Bosch and Siemens formed in 1967. Bosch bought out Siemens’ half, and the deal closed in January 2015. BSH is based in Munich and also owns brands such as Neff, Gaggenau and Thermador.

Find your model and serial number
Bosch calls the model number the E-Nr, and it sits on the type plate, a sticker or rating plate on the appliance. On some models the data is engraved on the top, on top of the door, or on the outer rim. The FD number is also on the plate. The pages we read did not give a spot for each appliance, so look around the door opening first.

How service works
We can look at your Bosch appliance in your home, or in our shop for smaller items. In-shop diagnostic: $50 plus GST, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. In-home service call: $95 plus GST ($95 plus mileage plus GST outside Calgary), with parts and labour on top. You get a repair quote before any work. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty.
