Southland Technical Services Ltd. (“Southland”, “we”) respects your privacy. This page explains in plain language what personal information this website collects, who handles it and how to reach us about it. We follow Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act.

What we collect

If you use our contact or service-request form, we collect what you type: your name, phone number, email address, appliance details (brand, model, serial number), the first three characters of your postal code, your preferred day and time, and your message. Please do not put payment card numbers or other sensitive details in the message.

How the form works

Your form details are sent by email to the shop so we can call you back.
We send a confirmation email to the address you give. It is automatic and repeats a short summary of your request.
Before you send a form, you tick a box agreeing that we may contact you about your request by phone, email or text message.
A Cloudflare Turnstile spam check runs on the forms. It usually runs invisibly in the background and only shows a checkbox if it needs more proof that you are a person. It receives your IP address and browser details so it can tell people from bots.
Cloudflare also hosts this website and keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
An email delivery service based in the United States processes the form emails for us, so your details are handled outside Canada.

Cookies and tracking

This website has no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your information only to respond to your enquiry, book and carry out service, and provide warranty support. We do not sell your information. We share it only with the service providers described above and as the law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep service request emails for as long as needed to complete the repair and for our records.
