Vizio built its name on big screens at friendly prices, and those sets are still around Calgary. When one has no picture or no sound, Southland can take a look at home or in our shop.

About Vizio
Vizio started in October 2002 as V Inc., founded by William Wang, and is headquartered in Irvine, California. Walmart completed its acquisition of Vizio on December 3, 2024, at $11.50 per share, for about $2.3 billion. Vizio’s smart TV platform, SmartCast, is now called Vizio OS.

Find your model and serial number
Vizio’s support site has an article on locating the TV serial number. Its manuals describe a System Information screen in the menu, and the route differs between older and newer sets, so the label on the TV is the safer place to start.

How service works
Large Vizio TVs can be repaired in your home, and smaller items can be brought to our shop. Southland repairs TVs. We do not sell TVs. In-shop diagnostic: $50 plus GST, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. In-home service call: $95 plus GST ($95 plus mileage plus GST outside Calgary), with parts and labour on top. You get a repair quote before any work. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty.
