About JVC
JVC was founded on September 13, 1927, as the Victor Talking Machine Company of Japan, and it merged with Kenwood in 2008 to form JVCKenwood. JVCKenwood no longer builds the JVC TVs sold in North America. They are made and supported under licence by other companies. A JVC support page for LT series models says that in the U.S. ESI Enterprises, not JVCKenwood USA, handles warranty, customer service and technical support.

Find your model and serial number
JVC’s support page for sets numbered LT, two digits, then MA does not say where to look for the number, so read it from the label on the set itself. It also gives the recycling contact for sets bought directly from JVC. The U.S. page is the one listed here.

How service works
Large JVC TVs can be repaired in your home, and smaller items can be brought to our shop. Southland repairs TVs. We do not sell TVs. In-shop diagnostic: $50 plus GST, credited toward the repair if you go ahead. In-home service call: $95 plus GST ($95 plus mileage plus GST outside Calgary), with parts and labour on top. You get a repair quote before any work. Repairs carry a 90-day warranty.
