About Saddle Ridge
Airport Trail NE, Stoney Trail, 80 Avenue NE and Métis Trail enclose Saddle Ridge, a large neighbourhood on Calgary’s northeastern edge. Urban development began in the mid-2000s after drainage problems delayed an earlier plan. The 2021 census counted 24,365 people and 6,005 dwellings, with about 22 per cent apartments and 23 per cent rented. Saddletowne station, opened in 2012 as the end of the Northeast C-Train line, anchors the commercial hub at Saddletowne Circle.
