About Signal Hill
Perched at about 1,190 metres, Signal Hill climbs west of Sarcee Trail, bounded roughly by 17 Avenue, Stoney Trail and 69 Street. The land was annexed into Calgary in 1956, and the community was established in the mid 1980s. Battalion Park on the hillside holds about 16,000 stones laid out as battalion numbers, opened in 1991. Signal Hill Shopping Centre sits near Richmond Road.
